Betty J. Antesberger

ANTESBERGER – Betty J., 89, Johnstown, passed away Nov. 13, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 12, 1926, in Altoona, daughter of Fred M. and Elizabeth (Young) Buckreis. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William Antesberger Sr.; grandson, Matt Eppley; brothers, Fred, Ralph and Tom Buckreis; and sister, Nancy Myers. Survived by loving children, William Jr., married to the fomer Janet Rosey, Johnstown; Robert R., married to the former Barbara Duffy, Portage; Linda, married to Larry Langham, Johnstown; Mary Frances, married to George Heidorn, Johnstown; and Renee Finnegan, and lifetime partner, Sonny Wentz, Vinco; loving grandchildren, Kimberly, William III, Corey, Maureen, Robert Jr., Timothy, Misty, Michael, Damian and Jacob; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Buckreis, Elkhart, Ind.; and sisters, Ruth Ann Frederick, Utah; Mitzy Dailey, State College; Mary Hoover, Virginia; and Sister Grace “Skip” Buckreis. Betty Jean was a member of St. John Gualbert Cathedral and former member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening. Formerly employed by Mason’s Department Store and Conemaugh Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, the Very Rev. James F. Crookston, officiating. Entombment, St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum
