Bernard "Bernie" Kleman

Kleman-Bernard W. “Bernie” 85 of Johnstown, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2019 at Windber Hospice. Born September 20, 1934 in Johnstown. Son of Daniel W. and Mary N. (Kleman) Kautz. Preceded in death by parents, sister Alberta R. (Kautz) Birkhimer, brother Daniel J. Kautz and son-in-law Daniel R. Moss. Survived by beloved wife of 63 years the former Marlene F. Schellhammer and these loving children; Douglas married to the former Charlotte Restivo, Vickie Kleman-Moss , Craig married to the former Gloria Yoder, Keith and husband Zak Kambic. Also survived by grandchildren; Megan Kurcin, Charles Kleman and Fiancé Marie Dilascio, Emily Kleman and Fiancé Zach Hughes, Malinda wife of Jordan Greene, Nicole Kleman and Fiancé Hunter Cookus. Great-grandchildren; Kenya, Zaria and Asia Kurcin, Kylie Greene, Elizabeth, Dillion, Carson and Blake (Kleman) Cookus. Also survived by sister, Patricia Siska and Uncle Eddie Kleman. Bernard was a Naval Reservist and retired a crane operator in the blast furnace for 38 years with Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown.  He was a member of Franklin Street United Methodist Church, Cambria County Volunteer Fireman’s Association, and Boy Scout Leader of Troop 9. He was a lifetime member of Daisytown Sportsman’s Club.  He loved spending time with his family and friends, hunting, and the sportsman club. At His requests there will be no viewing, a service will be held at a later date.
