Bernadette Graff

Graff, Bernadette, 100, passed away August 26, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born August 24, 1916, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Henry Emmel and Mary L. (Rhodes) Emmel. Preceded in death by Owen Joseph Graff, husband of 49 years. Last of family siblings, Ethel Hill, Henry "Hine" Emmel, George Emmel, Mamie "Mame" Bullock, Alice Alwine, John Emmel, Katherine "Caddy" Myers, Francis "Nook" Emmel and Evelyn Emmel. Deceased son-in-law, Jack R. Murphy. Survived by daughter, Nancy (Graff) Murphy; grandsons, Todd and Eric; and nieces and nephews. Member of Dale, Cover Hill and Daisytown and Lee Hospital Ladies Auxiliaries. She was an avid bingo player, swimmer and dancer. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. Friends received 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, where funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., the Rev. Randy Bain, officiating. Private interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
