Rubish – Barbara 95, of Johnstown, passed away January 9, 2025, at Heritage Ridge Senior Living. Born November 11, 1929, in Weirton West Virginia. Daughter of John and Anna (Yanouta) Rubish. Preceded in death by parents, eight brothers and three sisters, Barbara was the last survivor of her immediate family and is also survived by her niece Ilona Mikula of California. She moved to Johnstown in 1946, and was a resident at Lincoln Lee Manor. She attended services at Christ the Savior church and most recently attending daily Mass at St. John Gualbert where she would light candles for family and friends. Barb worked as a supervisor for BestForm, and would also help with various tasks at John Hill Real Estate well into her 80’s. She enjoyed sports, most especially the Steelers, Pirates and watching golf on TV. Some of her pastimes included crossword puzzles and cooking. Her absence will leave a vacancy in the hearts to all who knew and loved her. A special thank you to the staff at Heritage Ridge Senior Living for the care and kindness given to Barb. Friends will be received Wednesday 10 a.m. to 11.a.m for a visitation at Geisel Funeral Home – Johnstown. Private entombment Grandview Mausoleum.
