Angelo Mazzarese

Mazzarese- Angelo 88, of Johnstown, passed away April 21, 2021 at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born September 1, 1932 in Johnstown son of Anthony and Angeline (Lodico) Mazzarese. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, siblings; Lena Speranza, Rosie Poratsky, Annie Degretta, Peter, Joseph, Jack and John Mazzarese and granddaughter Jilly. Survived by children Christopher Mazzarese, , Michael married to the former Therri Ressler and Lucinda wife of Rodney Wagner and William married to the former Carolyn Mastroianni. Special friend Anna Mae. Grandchildren; Amee and Nicole, Stephanie, Kelly, Amanda, Trista, Anthony and Nicholas Mazzarese. Also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Angelo was a Korean and Vietnam Veteran who retired from the US Air Force after serving his country for 20 years. He enjoyed cooking and dancing, and family time. He was an accomplished car mechanic who volunteered his help and knowledge to anyone who needed it. Angelo donated his time and efforts to help his unofficially adopted son Patrick Adolf with his automotive business. Angelo had a close and special relationship with his son Christopher and was often found with Chris at his automotive dealership where he loved to spend time and help out. Respected and loved by family and friends he will be sadly missed. Friends will be received Tuesday from 11:00 am until 1:00pm at Geisel Funeral Home - Johnstown. A private interment will take place at St. Anthony Cemetery.
