Alice Snyder

Snyder, Alice - 91, of Johnstown, passed away April 2, 2017 at Lutheran Home of Johnstown. Born September 13, 1925 in Johnstown, daughter of Walter and Hazel (Naylor) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, husband Blair "Duke" Snyder, brother Ralph Snyder, sisters Maude Greene, Lila Frye, and baby Grace Miller. Survived by daughter Hazel Snyder of Geistown, and son Blair Snyder married to Lori, of Erie, PA. Grandchildren Hope Katherine, Joel Patrick Snyder, and brother John Miller of Davidsville. Alice was a life member of Homestead United Methodist Church. She was employed as an elevator operator at Penn Traffic, cafeteria worker at VoTech and was retired from Lee Hospital Dietary Department. Alice Volunteered at East Hills Senior Center, sang in East Hills chorus group, and helped clean Homestead Ave Church. She was a great candy maker and baker, winning ribbons at the Cambria County Fair. Friends will be received from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home Johnstown, where funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, Rev. Keith Dunn officiating. Interment Richland Cemetery.
